Antonia Love LLB (Hons) - Family Equity Partner

Antonia joined Farleys in 1996. She became a Partner in 2003 and is Head of the Family Law Department.

Antonia deals with all aspects of marriage and family breakdown. She specialises in complex financial work involving high net worth individuals. In addition, she deals with private and public law work regarding children.

She is a member of Resolution; a member of the Law Society's Children Panel; Child Concern and the Association of Lawyers for Children. Antonia also sits on the Blackburn Incorporated Law Association Committee which represents solicitors from Blackburn, Accrington, Darwen and the Ribble Valley.

Tony Rebello LLB (Hons) - Associate Partner

Tony qualified in 1985 having completed his training with the firm. Tony has specialised in all aspects of family law including divorce and ancillary relief throughout his career but has a particular interest in children's law, both public and private, having conducted a number of highly complex cases in this field. Tony is a member of Resolution and a member of the Law Society Children Panel.

Karen Frankland LLB (Hons) - Associate Partner

Karen qualified in 1990 and joined Farleys in 1997 and has considerable experience in all areas of family law. Karen now deals exclusively in cases concerning complex children matters and where Social Services have become involved. Karen is a member of Resolution and the Law Society's Children Panel.

Barry Bunyan LLB (Hons) - Associate Partner

Barry trained with Farleys qualifying in 1991. Barry has specialised in family law ever since. Barry was awarded the Judge Coventry prize in 1989. He deals with all aspects of family law, with a particular emphasis on divorce, financial issues and disputes in relation to children.

Barry is a member of Resolution and on their panel of accredited family lawyers.

Barry is also a member of Child Concern.

Ruth Whittingham LLB (Hons) - Assistant Solicitor

Ruth qualified 2001 having trained in Bolton and practised in Manchester she has returned to Farleys to help Antonia build up the family department at Manchester.

Ruth specialises in dealing with the financial consequences of separating partners  whether they are married or not, she also deal with the difficult issues of children where parents cannot agree arrangements themselves.

Ruth is a member of Resolution and of the Law Society's Family Law Panel.

Zahra Nawaz LLB (Hons) - Assistant Solicitor

Zahra qualified in 2004 having completed her training with Farleys. She is based at our Accrington office and primarily deals with children cases but has a wide knowledge of all aspects of family work. Zahra is a member of Resolution.

Zahra is fluent in Punjabi and Urdu.

Jacquie Birkett LLB (Hons) - Assistant Solicitor

Jacquie qualified in 2004 having spent 14 years as a chartered accountant, joining Farleys in 2006. Jacquie was awarded a Law Society Prize for outstanding performance whilst taking her legal exams. Jacquie is a member of Resolution and deals with all aspects of family law.

Kelcy Horne LLB (Hons) - Assitant Solicitor

Kelcy joined the firm upon qualification in 2006 and is due to return from maternity leave later this year. Kelcy deals with all aspects of family law but has a particular interest in assisting those with disputes concerning children.

Phillipa Higson - F.InstLEx

Phillipa qualified in 1991 working in the Burnley area until she joined Farleys in Blackburn in 2005. Phillipa undertakes all aspect of family law.

Helen Brooks - F.InstLEx

Helen qualified in 1997 and has been with Farleys since and has recently returned from Maternity leave. Helen specialises in cases concerning children and is a member of Resolution.

Carol Martin - F.InstLEx

Carol qualified in 1998 and joined Farleys in 2003 having previously  established a successful practice in Preston and then Blackburn. Carol continues to specialise in all areas of family law including care work, injunction,  children and co-habitation disputes. Carol is also a member of Resolution.

Nicola Rushton - F.InstLEx

Nicola qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2001 having spent nearly 20 years as a Legal Executive. Nicola joined Farleys in 2006 after practicising over 20 years in the Rossendale Valley area. 

Nicola specialises and has considerable experience in dealing with financial matter pursuant to relationship breakdown.

Anne Booth - Employed Barrister

Anne qualified as a solicitor in 1983 dealing with family cases.

Anne transferred to the bar in 1998, practising in the Manchester area, undertaking both family and criminal cases.

Anne joined Farleys as an employed barrister in 2004 and specialises in financial matters pursuant to relationship breakdown.
